Role
AI Veterinary Pathologists support Aiforia’s AI Services with their pathology expertise in Aiforia’s preclinical, toxicology, and academic customer projects. The successful candidates enjoy working in fast-paced, collaborative and innovative environments. General responsibilities include demonstrating Aiforia’s technologies, supporting customers' use of Aiforia’s products, and troubleshooting. To succeed in this role it is essential that the candidate is able to manage multiple tasks and projects at once, they embody good communication skills, and have the pathology knowledge base to support customer projects across a wide variety of fields.
The role is based primarily in Boston, Massachusetts or Rochester, Minnesota
Responsibilities
Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of Aiforia products and technologies and support cross-disciplinary project teams in science, marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure successful completion of projects
Provide histopathology expertise in preclinical, toxicology and research customer projects
Design, annotate, train, and validate deep learning AI models
Document projects according to Aiforia’s Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines
Contribute to project reporting and writing of publications
Maintain professional credentials and continuing education, sharing knowledge
Identify and communicate problems to the Aiforia team and implement fixes.
Willingness to travel on occasion to attend regional and national trade shows, conferences, and meet with clients
Educational Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary medical degree and board-eligible or board-certified in the American or European College of Veterinary Pathologists or equivalent specialization.
Experience & Skill Requirements
3 years of experience in anatomic pathology (can include residency training)
Excellent written and oral communication, teamwork, and project management skills
Fluent in written and oral English
What is seen as an advantage
Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in biomedical sciences or closely related field
Experience teaching, customer service or other customer-facing roles
Strong interest, or prior knowledge, of digital pathology or medical imaging software applications
Experience in toxicologic or investigative pathology
