Are you ready to assist medical professionals in harnessing the power of AI and enabling an unprecedented level of tissue diagnostics and medical image analysis in the future?

We are looking for a Field Application Scientist to join Aiforia’s growing team!

Role

Field Application Scientists at Aiforia combine scientific knowledge with teaching and problem-solving skills to support Aiforia’s customers successful completion of projects with our different software products. The Field Application Scientist works closely with customers as well as Aiforia’s software solutions with the science and support teams to ensure exceptional customer service. General responsibilities include demonstrating Aiforia’s technologies, supporting customers' use of Aiforia’s products, and troubleshooting. To succeed in this role it is essential that the candidate can prioritize; meaning that they can manage many tasks and projects at once. Field Scientists should also embody excellent communication skills and have the in-depth scientific knowledge to support customer projects across a wide variety of medical fields.

The role will be based primarily in Europe and report to the Director of the Global FAS team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current and deep understanding of Aiforia’s products including how to annotate, train and validate new AI models using Aiforia’s technologies

• Manage and coordinate all technical aspects of customer projects

• Onboard new customers, enabling them to successfully use Aiforia’s image analysis software, and the data generated therein

• Monitor customer progress and render assistance when needed along with continuous proactive customer engagement

• Identify and communicate problems to the Aiforia team and work to implement fixes

• Willingness to travel on occasion to attend regional and national trade shows, conferences, and to meet with clients

• Supporting the EU sales team to prepare quotes with high focus in presales

Educational Requirements

• At least a Master's degree in a biological/medical/biomedical science discipline with minimum 3-years work experience in a scientific field

• Preferably a PhD) in a biological/biomedical science discipline

Experience & Skill Requirements

• 4+ years of research experience using pathology, microscopy, immunology, molecular biology, or related methods to answer research questions Familiarity with microscopy images (e.g., histopathology, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence) and common image analysis tools.

• Experience with conventional image analysis and knowledge of deep neural networks and

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Organizational, project management, and prioritization skills

• Ability to work balance working within a team environment and being self-motivated

• Competence to anticipate customer needs, and actively investigate to propose solutions

• Proficiency in English, other languages are a plus.
