Department: AI Model Development Team

Type: Minimum 20 hours/week, 2–4 months

Role and Responsibilities

As a member of the AI Model Development Team, you will work closely with pathologists and biomedical experts to build world-class AI applications for histopathology. This is an entry-level role with significant opportunities for career growth.

Your key tasks:

• AI Training: Creating high-quality training data through digital annotations and training Aiforia’s AI models for diverse applications.

• Project Management: Supporting the development team in managing, tracking, and documenting key projects to ensure timely delivery and high standards.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone with a strong biomedical background who can learn quickly and is committed to delivering the highest quality work.

Requirements:

• Student in a biomedical field (e.g., Biology, Bioengineering, Medical Technology).

• Domain Knowledge: Experience in histology, histopathology, or anatomical pathology (including tissue stainings, microscopy, etc.); machine learning skills are considered an advantage.

• Technical Literacy: Know-how in digital microscopy and imaging.

• Communication: Fluency in English (verbal and written) and the ability to thrive in a multicultural team.

What gives you an edge:

• Understanding the basic principles of AI, machine learning, or software development.

• Experience in building image analysis algorithms or pipelines.

• Previous experience in annotation work or in using digital pathology image analysis software.

Location

Hybrid. We offer a hybrid work model that provides flexibility for your daily life. However, we hope that you will work primarily from our office during the initial stage of your employment. This ensures you receive the best possible support, a smooth onboarding experience, and the opportunity to truly get to know your team from day one.
